The eligibility criteria for the UCD Ad Astra Academic Scholarships Programme are as follows:

Prospective students:

  • Scholarships will be awarded based on academic criteria, which require a minimum of 6 H1’s in the first attempt of the Leaving Cert or an equivalent qualification (such as A-Levels), along with completing the online application.
  • Applicants should submit a personal statement and a statement of achievements “beyond the classroom” to showcase their extracurricular accomplishments.
  • Candidates must provide evidence of the achievements mentioned in their application.
  • The scholarship must be utilized in the year it is offered.

Current students:

  • Current undergraduate students of University College Dublin are also eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Candidates will be selected based on their academic performance at the end of the first year.
  • Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.68 and have completed 60 graded ECTS.
  • Students must meet all the progression requirements and program-specific criteria.
