Job Description:
- Summary of Key Functions
- Screen and organize entries and exit doors, movements of people inside and outside the Health Facility
- Monitoring and building the correct balance of the entry and exit gates of the mobility of people inside and outside the health center
- Check the identity of visitors to ensure they are from the same community and in case of observing any unknown person, report immediately to the in charge of health facility.
- Check the identity of the visitor, who is from the same community/village, and if you see suspicious people, inform the health center manager.
- Control the clients and vehicles visiting the health facility.

- Attend to the Night duty in the health facility based on the plan.
- According to the night protection plan, the health center should be on duty at night

Key relations
Watchmen under supervision of assigned supervisors play extremely vital role for ensuring safety and security to CARE staff members, assets, and properties in WFHS. Watchmen are the primary responsible person to respond any type of emergencies and threats against women friendly health spaces at any time. Watchmen are responsible to prevent any unauthorized substances including weapons, explosive and drugs to women friendly health space. Watchmen will be the primer persons who provide reports of any suspicious activity in and around WFHS. Watchmen are also the primer persons who alert staff members of any threats against women friendly health space.
Under the supervision of the appointed supervisor, the bodyguards play an important and vital role in providing the safety and security of the employees, assets and facilities of the health shelter for women. The guards are the first responsible and responsive persons in front of any urgent situations and threats against the facilities of Ashani Sahi for women at any time. The bodyguards are responsible for preventing any unauthorized items such as weapons, explosives, and drugs from entering the health shelter for women. The guards are the first persons who are responsible for providing suspicious reports from inside and around the health shelter for women. And they are still the first people who inform the members and employees of the office about any threats and dangers

- Coordinate with Operation and resilience Officer, Members of the sub health centre (SHC), and the Provision of Essential Life-Saving Healthcare Services to Underserved Populations Affected by Earthquakes in Herat Province staff.

- Main responsibility of a security watchman is to maintain the safety & security of CARE national /international staff and visitors within women friendly health space.
- The basic responsibility of a security guard is to provide security and safety for all the employees of the customer care office inside the premises of the health shelter for women.
- Check doors and windows of the buildings after official hours/off days, to ensure they are properly locked, note any unlocked doors/windows; submits the note to assigned supervisor.
- Controlling the gates and windows of the sanitary shelter for women during the night and informal hours to ensure that they are properly locked, if they are not locked, remember it and inform their superiors.
- Make sure all electrical appliances and machineries in assigned women friendly health space and premises are off and shutdown after the official time.
- The guard must make sure that all the electrical devices and machines of the sanitary shelter for women are turned off in other designated areas during unofficial hours and at night.
- Conduct professional vehicle searching in a precise manner in order to make sure that CARE and none CARE vehicles are clear and safe from weapons, explosive devices and any other harmful substances.
- Effortful implementation of the office vehicles and external vehicles in a precise and professional manner and ensuring the absence of weapons, explosives and other suspicious and dangerous objects inside the vehicles.
- Maintain and update the register books of vehicles and visitors in CARE offices, staff houses, warehouses, and entrance and exit gates.
- Day-to-day maintenance of vehicle registration books, visitors to care offices, guest houses, warehouses and other registration books that are placed at the entry and exit gates.
- Search the visitors politely and register them indiscriminately before entering the CARE facilities. Assist visitors who need direction or information.
- An effort and checking of all visitors properly and politely before entering the offices of Kier. Helping and guiding visitors if they need help and guidance.
- Make proper registration of staff coming to the office on weekends and other off days.
- Registering those employees who come to Kiir offices in informal hours to carry out business.
- Perform and execute all required orders, directions, guidance, and requirements of Standard Operating Procedures and General Orders to a standard that meets expectations.
- Carrying out and implementing all the orders, instructions, gifts, requirements and expectations included in the daily procedure and common practice.
9. Make sure to provide immediate reports of any suspicious activities, hostile actions, perceived surveillance, unauthorized photography and etc.
- The security guard must immediately report all suspicious activities, hostile actions, visual considerations and unauthorized photography to his direct supervisor.
10. In the absence of direct Supervisor and Security Point Person make sure to contact the relevant security/fire/ambulance departments when emergency occur, force entrance is taken place and CARE facilities are attacked.
- In the event that the women’s health shelter is attacked or any emergency situation occurs for the office, in the absence of the direct order or the security officer of the office, the guard must contact the fire and ambulance security officials and inform them of the issue. to give
11. During emergencies (Fire, Earthquake etc.) make sure adequate response is in place to minimize the potential impacts and losses.
- Ensuring adequate measures to reduce casualties in emergency situations (fire, earthquake, etc.)
12.Operate generator of WFHS, ensure that staff members are informed on a timely basis, when the generator is switched off, and ensure that office water tank is full at all times.
- The generator service of Aashine Sahi for women is the responsibility of the guards, be sure to notify all employees if the generator is turned off, and make sure that the water reservoir always has enough water.
13. Any other tasks that assigned by the Supervisor.

14. Make sure that no one can expel assets from women friendly health spaces without authorized gate pass.
- The security guard must make sure that the objects and articles of the sanitary shelter for women are not transferred out of the office in the absence of an official and valid permit.
15. If there is need to help the loading and unloading office items, watchmen should give hand.
- If there is a need to cooperate in the loading and unloading of goods, the guard must cooperate in this area.
16. Ptrol the assigned areas on foot and take action to investigate, report, prevent, or stop suspicious activities, hostile actions, fires, theft, or safety hazards.

17. Use appropriate communication when there is need and check the available communication equipment on a regular basis to make sure communication equipment are functional.

18. Checking out (road) when the AV gets out or come in inside the office.
- Check right from (Sark) when the armored vehicle is coming out of Kier’s office.
