Job Description:

Job Summary:

IRW South Area Office is looking for an organized and motivated warehouse assistant to join our facility. The warehouse assistant will be responsible for ensuring inventory is processed, organized, and stored. The warehouse assistant will also package, scan, and prepare orders for delivery. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on their feet, focused on meeting quotas, and experienced in inventory software and databases. This role will interface mostly with South Area Office based operations and staff to ensure uninterrupted support to program team in effective and efficient way.

Technical

Level

  • Move inventory and materials across facilities.
  • Process inventory for delivery.
  • Sort, organize and store inventory in the proper location.
  • Package items and label correctly.
  • Scan delivered items and ensured quality.
  • Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors.
  • Stack and organize large bulk items.
  • Remove inventory from trucks or shipping and delivery to proper location.
  • Update logs and documentation for inventory processing.
  • Move materials from facilities to workstations, pick-up locations, or other locations.
  • Wear safety gear at all times.
  • Ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aisles.
  • Work as an active team member to complete team goals.
  • Prepare documentation and inventory for audits.

Operational Level

  • Key staff trained and properly adhere to IR policies and procedures with regards to supply chain.
  • Ensure preparation & record management of warehouse documentation so that may be accessed by relevant individuals as & when needed.
  • Preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, and other warehouse progress reports for management’s info.
  • Close coordination with line manager for effective implementation of policies / guidelines.
  • Inter departmental relations are improved.
  • Recommendations to Management for overall improvement in warehouse management.

Job Requirements:

Qualification:

  • BBA degree graduated or any other relevant degree.

Experience:

  • At least three years relevant experience in warehousing management, inventory, with National NGOs and international NGOs

Computer Skills:

  • MS Office, Outlook, ERP systems familiarity
