Job Description:
Major duties and responsibilities
Specialized duties
Applying the vaccine to the target group according to the plan and the relevant indicators
Preparing a list of absentees and tracking absentees at the community level of the covered area
Using tools for recording and renewing vaccination cards (monthly care chart and stock book)
The person responsible for the storage and maintenance of vaccines and other vaccine products according to the guidelines
Maintaining the cold chain of vaccines
Preparing a request list for vaccines and other vaccine systems and sending it to the relevant authority
Prepare and arrange an operational plan for National Vaccine Days and organize National Vaccine Day trainings for volunteers and actively participate in National Vaccination Days
Preparation of the vaccine team’s inventory list annually
Collecting and consolidating the report of the vaccination team’s activities and sending it to the relevant authorities on a monthly basis
Compliance with introduced standards, especially infection prevention
Management duties
Arranging the monthly, quarterly and annual work plan in accordance with the general plan of the relevant department in order to reach the set goal
Arranging monthly, quarterly and annual work reports and submitting them to the relevant department
Arranging the work plan for the fixed vaccine center according to the guidelines and order of the outreach work plan (to CCC subsidiary health centers)
Management of vaccination campaigns according to the prepared time division
Organization of health education sessions for the clients regarding the exemption program for catalavi, diarrhea, respiratory diseases and nutrition.
Performing other tasks related to the task that is directed by the direct manager
Coordination tasks
Participation in all meetings, rallies and in-service trainings
Strengthen coordination with all employees, health councils and relevant departments
Job Requirements:
Language requirements, if needed
Mastery of the official languages of the country (Pashto and Dari) and familiarity with English
Qualifications required
Have at least a bachelor’s degree and complete a vaccination course from a recognized institution
