Required Qualifications and Experience Education Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Civil Engineering or water (resource) Management at a recognized University with a B.Sc. degree or higher with at least two years of relevant professional experience. Or High School Diploma / Certificate in the above fields with four years of relevant experience. Experience 1. Experience in implementing and monitoring different types of structures particularly stone masonry protection walls, gabion masonry protection walls, retaining walls, gabion works, check dams, water intakes, culverts, floodways, and others (buildings, etc.) 2. Experience in monitoring construction of water management Structures is preferable. 3. Experience in organizing on-site activities such as the layout of infrastructures, particularly water management structures including protection walls, supervising construction works, labor management and supervision, preparing labor timesheets, guiding and receiving construction materials and construction tools, etc. SKILLS • Proficiency in Engineering codes including IBC, ASCE, and ASTM. • Familiarity with Survey Engineering tools such as Total station, level machine, and GPS. • Knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, and other construction-related software. • Experience with Planning and scheduling software such as MS projects. • The candidate must be willing to reside and work in designated areas and work overtime if necessary. • Familiarity with progress report writing on a daily and weekly basis. • Good Communication skills on a community basis are desired. Languages - For all applicants, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
- Working knowledge of Pashto or Dari is required.
- Fluency in all national languages (s) is highly advantageous.
