Job Summary
GFD/CBT Surveyor will have to work in close coordination with CFACs and local stakeholders under the supervision of district team leader to carry out benificiries/HH assessment in Kunar & Laghman as per WFP pre-established assessment guidlines and to make entries in MODA system via online plateform. The surveyor must have strong computer skills and knowledge of need based assessments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out assessment in the field and select the vulnerable families according to WFP criteria
- Responsible for surveying the HHs in the targeted area and collecting the data from the vulnerable families
- Within the UCSS General Food Distribution project, the surveyor uses the MODA system, entering data into the system.
- A daily visit of HH and filling related questionnaires using MODA & Data collect software.
- Establish respectful relations with interviewees, in order to encourage them to give appropriate answers.
- Interview the head of household and fill up pre-prepared questionnaires during field visits;
- ARCI also adheres to strict child safeguarding principles & PSEA policy.
- Ensure respect of rules and procedures;
- Respecting the confidentiality of the interviewee and collected data.
- Report his/her activities to the line supervisor;
- Help ensure factual data from the site and properly report field-related information to the relevant senior staff at the office and to the project assistants.
- Participate in meetings with CFAC’s, local authorities and other stakeholders in the province; liaise, communicate and coordinate with donors, NGOs, and other relevant institutions in the province according to instructions from supervisor.
- Any other task assigned by the district team leader.
Job Requirements
- At least 12 grade, 14 grade and prefer to diploma in Economics, social sciences, business administration or equivalent
- Prior experience working in a surveyor position with UN and WFP agencies and in a surveyor supervisor position
- Fluency in local languages and English lis mandatory.
- 3 years of relevant work experience within UN agencies or local NGOs in GFD/CBT interventions.
- Must have knowledge of WFP MODA, KOBO, DATA COLLECT system and usage of same.
- Ability to conceptualize, understand the assessment criteria and select benificiries as per UN guidelines.
- Able to manage and plan the work effectively and meet deadlines.
- Ability to build close working relationships with district communities and team leader.
- Ability to build strong lines of communication with stakeholders and within the team
