Afghan Telecom Company has been the only company to provide GSM/3G Salam mobile services, fiber optic services, digital phone services, DSL internet services, Wicoms internet services, Dial Up internet services and VCN services in the country. is. In addition, Afghan Telecom is the only telecommunication company that provides telecommunication network to all government departments including all ministries and other government offices, including voice, internet and video conferencing services for these departments. It is also approved by the Ministry of Communications of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Afghan Telecom covers 155 small and large cities and 34 provinces of the country and will soon cover all 355 districts of the country.

Job Summary

The applicant should have proper knowledge of overall software development infrastructure, he/she should have creative mind and should have ability to solve complex problems and scenarios, having the ability to work under tough and short time situations (if needed sometimes), he/she should understand completely the agile software development methodology, familiarity and having experience of using multiple technologies under same platform, ability to sync, read, update, and delete data from single source to many databases and servers, having the idea for management of big data, ability of having complex data analysis and design. he/she should trace issues and development process by Git and provide proper weekly reports to direct managers.

Duties & Responsibilities

●     An MVC developer that will be able to develop and support existing applications or work with a team to develop new applications.

●     The main scope of work will include everything from back-end to client-side code, using optimal and efficient technologies, frameworks, and patterns.

●     Your primary responsibilities will be to design and develop these applications.

●     It’s essential that you are skilled at problem solving, solution design, and high-quality coding.

●     Meet with clients, understand their requirements and develop based on the requirements.

●     Customer focused and a good team player

●     Provide the necessary documentation to support the software Development Life Cycle.

●     Develop prototypes and solutions leveraging a diverse range of technology.

●     Apply modern principles, methodologies, tools, and systemic processes to support the launch of new business capabilities.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Education:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software, or equivalent formal training, certifications, or work experience in coding are required (Master’s degree proffered).

Experience:

·      At least two years of progressively responsible work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified for bachelor’s degree and one year of experience for master degree.

Skills Required:

·      Ability of analytical thinking and problem solving

·      Willing of researching and self-improvement

·      Excellent command of English, Dari/ Pashto, both written and spoken

·      Basic knowledge of Java, C#, PHP are fundamental requirement

·      Willingness to learn new development methodologies

·      Ability to liaison and work with non-programmers

·      Good communication skills

·      Understanding of object-oriented, procedural and functional programing

·      Strong object oriented PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML and CSS knowledge

·      Ability to work under pressure and deadline

·      MVC Frameworks

·      Secure software development would be an advantage

·      APIs like Rest and SOAP would be an asset

·      Oracle Database would be an asset

·      Linux would be an asset
