Reports to (role):
- Field Security and Crises Management Coordinator
Purpose:
The Security Guards Supervisor provides and maintains security in the assigned premises and supervises a team of Security Guards.
Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities:
- Coordinates, manages and supervises the team of guards in charge of security at ICRC premises. Works as a a Security Guard when and if required.
- Ensures that the guards under his/her responsibility do their work properly, report on time, do not leave their post before their shift is over and do not sleep while on duty.
- Ensures that guards under his/her responsibility respect security rules for the premises.
- Ensures that security-related equipment is in good working order.
- Provides guidance and training on security guidelines.
- Organizes and supervises shifts, duty rosters and replacements for holidays; registers staff absences and finds substitutes whenever needed.

- Remit: limited to the various assigned premises under his/her responsibility.
Relationships
- Internally, interacts with other ICRC employees and/or the users of ICRC premises.
- No external relationships.
Certifications / Education required
- High school education.
- Knowledge of spoken and written English.
- Computer literacy.
Professional Experience required
- 2 years’ work experience in a similar field of activity.
- Knowledge of security equipment.
