About AADA:

The Agency for Assistance and Development of Afghanistan (AADA) is an Afghan non-profit non-governmental organization working for the development of Afghanistan mainly through (1) the provision of quality health services; (2) community development; (3) training and capacity building at professional and community levels; and (4) research in topics of public health and social sciences besides various projects in different parts of Afghanistan.

Job Description:

  • The Nutrition/EPI Officer under the direct supervision of the regional program manager will be responsible for close supervision of Nutrition/EPI services in three BHCs located in Farsi Adraskan, Shindand districts of Herat to ensure quality delivery of reproductive health services to communities;
  • Providing on-the-job training to BHC staff
  • Meeting regularly with beneficiaries, community leaders, and health shuras to ensure program effectiveness and community awareness of project services;
  • Ensure proper EPI, nutrition, and medical supplies management of BHCs that includes consumption, stocks, rational use of drugs, etc…;
  • Identify and report immediately any program or administrative problems that may interfere in achieving program objectives;
  • Prepare and report accurate reports promptly.

Any duties assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements:

  1. Registered male MD with at least two years of experience in supervising and monitoring EPI and nutrition in BPHS projects.
  2. Fluency in written and spoken local languages
  3. Ability and willingness to travel to rural locations;
  4. Having skills in computer applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Word.

Knowledge of local environments.
