Job Summary

Under the general guidance of the UNODC Alternative Development Programme Coordinator and M&E focal point the Field Surveyor (AD-M&E) will facilitate and support the overall implementation of Survey Methodological approach undertaken by UNODC.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attending training on the survey objectives, methodology, field work approaches and data collection tools KoBo and paper questionnaires) in Kabul.

• Conduct the survey and collect data following the methodology and technical guidance provided during training.

• Perform timely and accurate data collection considering logistics arrangements, including travel and accommodation.

• Ensure that questionnaires on KII, FGD, individual interview, technical as well as CDC forms are thoroughly completed and meet high quality standards.

• Collect GPS coordinates of the prospective project site and photos of meeting with relevant stakeholders

• Observe a strong sense of respect and confidentiality while administering the survey.

• Ensure that the completed questionnaires are submitted on a daily basis.

• Maintain up-to-date records and status of progress to ensure consistency and completeness of all survey questionnaires.

• Ensure that questionnaires have been thoroughly checked and completed.

• Provide daily reports and updates to Alternative Development Programme team on findings related to the field situation, including political, social and safety issues.

• Disseminate information to the target community and district relevant authorities on regarding Water Emergency Relief Project

• Carry out any other tasks as assigned by the UNODC management.

Job Requirements

Skills:

Language:

• Excellent spoken and verbal skills of Pashto and Dari languages required.

Qualifications

Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, engineering and social sciences required.

Years of experience:

• At least 1 to 3 years relevant data collection experience/monitoring and evaluation using the digital data collection tools (KoBo, ODK etc) required

• Having smart phone for installation of data collection application is required

• Experience in community mobilization and information sharing is desirable
