About Sustainable Goals Organization for Afghanistan:

Sustainable Goals Organization for Afghanistan (SGOA) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 2020. Register with Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Public Health. And works in different sectors such as, WASH, Health, Education, Food Security, Livelihood and provision of different kinds of emergency response and relief to returnees, IDPs and affected people and SGOA provides humanitarian assistance in remote and underserved areas, promoting equal access to development and humanitarian aid. SGOA works with donors as like UNDP, UN Women, SFCG, SCI and NRC to enhance livelihoods, promote socio-economic inclusion, and deliver emergency relief.

SGOA’s vision is to uphold human rights and align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on economic empowerment, improving quality of life, and integrating disabled individuals into the community. The organization values honesty, sincerity, integrity, and passion, emphasizing teamwork and respect for diversity.

Job Description:

Project Overview: SGOA is excited to announce a new project focused on training midwives in advanced maternal studies. This comprehensive program includes two months of theoretical training followed by two months of internship at a local healthcare facility. Participants will receive a stipend of $200 per month to cover lunch, refreshments, and transport.

Scope of Work: The Midwife Trainee will undergo intensive training to enhance their skills in maternal and child health care. The program aims to equip trainees with advanced knowledge and practical experience, preparing them for successful careers in the healthcare sector

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Fresh graduates in Midwifery since 2020.
  • Commitment: Strong dedication to improving skills and securing a good job in the healthcare sector.
  • Availability: Ability to commit to the full duration of the training and internship program.
  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in local languages (Pashto and Dari); basic English skills are an asset.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with trainers, healthcare professionals, and fellow trainees.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new methods and practices in maternal care.
