HealthNet TPO in Afghanistan aims to improve the health status of the people in Afghanistan by supporting the local communities and the Government of Afghanistan in the development of a sustainable healthcare system. HealthNet TPO is working in Afghanistan since 1994, implementing integrated health projects managed mainly by national staff and supported technically by expatriate staff from the headquarters office. HealthNet TPO Afghanistan provides Primary Health Care, Mental Health, and psychosocial services, fighting malaria, and supporting Mother and Child Health Care in terms of providing training for Community midwives and conducting operation research. Health Net TPO is currently implementing projects in 22 provinces. Its major programs are the Malaria Control program, SEHATMANDI projects in four provinces, nutrition, Mental Health, and Psychosocial programs through a community system strengthening approach.

Job Description:
- To contribute and ensure proper diagnosis and treatment of all complex and complicated cases.
- To help junior staff provide quality medical
- care according to the national protocols and guidelines.
- Conduct regular technical seminars
- and discussion forums for junior staff
- To provide daily case presentations during the round and morning reports to the junior staff.
- To ensure specialized medical care is carried out based on EPHS requirements
- To contribute to the capacity building of junior staff through conducting on-the-job training and seminars.
- To provide recommendations and help the head of the Medical Department. on technical and management issues
- Attend all Medical-related consultations and on-call duties as per schedule.
- To carry out research and provide support on it to the junior staff.
- To ensure proper implementation of the HMIS system.
- To do evening visits of admitted patients.
- To work as head of the department in case of need.
- To give proper direction to nurses regarding infection prevention and patient care.
- Attend all meetings and training provided by HealthNet TPO.
- Perform any other related task given by HealthNet TPO.
Job Requirements:
- Degree of MD and specialization in Medical approved by MoPH.
- Working experience as a specialist of 1-3 years in a hospital.
- Good English language skills. Computer skills are preferable.
- Flexible mentality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
