Job Description:
The role & main duties of Guard within ActionAid organization is to serve as the front-line safety & security staff responsible for protecting and guarding the organization’s staff, people, assets, and compound. This highlights the importance of his role in ensuring the safety and security of the organization and its resources.

Tasks
- Available all the time in the gate and exercise serious control inside and outside the compound
- Registration of visitors in the visitor Logbook and register with passes in a systematic manner.
- Proactive and vigilant management of office/official residence access control procedures
- To ensure regular and proper maintenance of information related to visitors to the office, movements of staff and vehicles as well as goods and materials entering office and going out.
- Report any incident immediately to the line manager as per AAA Incident Reporting Procedure.
- Ensure fuel in the generator is full and working whenever needed refuel it and especially during the nights and attend to turning on or off the generator, whenever needed, and keep clean the generators.
- To record and maintain data related to fuel and energy consumption of common utilities like generators, heaters etc.
- Thorough check up of rooms, windows, doors, electricity, heaters, fans and lights after office hours (during his working time)
- Vigilant of other vehicles parked around the office compound.
- Must have familiarity with usage of fire extinguishers and vehicle and security tools.
- Adherence to the office rules and regulations, particularly related to security protocol and guidelines thereof.
- To ensure safety and security of organization assets in office. You must have the ability to work alone.
- Take over everything completely from previous shift and handover to next shift.
- Guard must patrol in the compound during the duty exactly during the night to make sure all fine in the compound further specifically nothing suspicious seen around inside the compound by keep watching CCTV Cameras.
- Guards are responsible for keeping the guards room clean all the time and cleaning the office yard.
- It is important to exhibit good behavior, show respect, and demonstrate patience when interacting with visitors and vendors who visit the office.
- Proactive and vigilant management of office/official residence access control procedures
- Drive AAA vehicles efficiently and in safely manner for the passengers in conformity with local road traffic Maintain high quality of driving conduct.
- Help office staff if needed during loading of assets to the vehicle.
- Have a good morality, be patient, respect all staff and team.
- Report any incident and accident immediately to the supervisor as per AAA Incident Reporting Procedure.
- Adherence to the office rules and regulations, particularly related to the safety and security protocol and guidelines and to ensure safety and security of organization assets, office, and vehicles.
Performing all other tasks and responsibilities assigned by Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Education & Training:
Ability to read and write, 12 grade graduates is must. Training in safety and security is required.
Experience (Number of Years and field of expertise):
- Particular experience in safety and security
- 4 Years experience in similar position with INGO
Technical Skills (Examples: languages, planning, budgeting, word processing, advance written and verbal communication, presentation etc)
