DAI, a private company, seeks candidates for ongoing multi-year humanitarian assistance initiatives in Afghanistan. Our programs create jobs, enhance value chains, and support businesses to improve the livelihoods of Afghan citizens in a variety of traditional industries and services including carpet production, light manufacturing, food processing, agriculture/agribusiness development, livestock development, and training. We support private businesses, farming communities, and individuals who need to learn job skills and trade production improvement techniques.
Job Summary
Contribute, coordinate, and collaborate with MEL team to ensure the quality data collection of business.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Participate in training provided by ACEBA MEL department.
· Contribute, coordinate, and collaborate with MEL team to ensure the quality data collection of business.
· Collecting MEL data on assigned business utilizing tools for data collection provided by ACEBA.
· Conduct phone interview with target business to collect business survey data for assigned business.
· Ensure the accurate and timely submission of data into relevant databases.
· Carrying out tablet- or smartphone-based data collection and offline/online data entry
· Upload data to DAI/ ACEBA systems
· Strictly follow MEL team constructive feedback for submitted data, for avoiding missing, incorrect, duplication and other erroneous data for upcoming data.
· Help ACEBA MEL team in cleaning of collected data in case of inconsistence or missing information.
Job Requirements
· Diploma degree in related field, bachelor’s degree will be preferred.
· 2 years of experience in relevant field of collecting quantitative and qualitative data.
· Candidates with ACEBA individual data collection experience preferred.
· Good English Language skills (both written and spoken).
· Dari and Pashto fluency preferred, although basic proficiency is sufficient in one of the two.
· Knowledge and skill of data management and privacy.
· Basic computer literacy
· Excellent knowledge of using online data service like (KOBO)
· Able to pay close attention to detail.
· Be punctual, on time, and able to meet deadlines and targets.
· Having smart phone that can capture good quality photo.
