Job Description:

The English Language Instructor is pivotal to DWSSO’s mission, tasked with delivering high-quality English language education focused on enhancing practical communication skills, with a special emphasis on speaking and writing. The instructor will enable students to effectively express themselves in English and engage in meaningful conversations, thus preparing them for diverse global settings.

Job Requirements:

The individual would be responsible for the following activities:

  • Develop a comprehensive English language curriculum focusing on speaking and writing skills, utilizing the InterCom 2000 series or any other series available in the Kabul market, selected through mutual agreement. Incorporate a variety of teaching techniques to improve students’ writing capabilities and conversational fluency.
  • Conduct dynamic and interactive English language classes that prioritize conversation and practical communication. Employ diverse strategies to foster an engaging learning environment that encourages students to practice their speaking and writing skills actively.
  • Implement regular assessments to monitor student progress in speaking and writing, providing timely and constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Teach English Grammar from the basic to advanced level, ensuring students grasp fundamental grammatical structures before advancing to more complex concepts.
  • Curate and develop teaching materials that support the learning objectives, including resources that specifically strengthen speaking and writing skills.
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and participate in regular meetings with the Executive Director and relevant stakeholders to report on program achievements and challenges.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills, with a focus on methods that improve language proficiency in speaking and writing.
