The IRC opened the country program in Afghanistan in 1988. Our programs span the range from humanitarian relief to early recovery and development activities, focusing on child protection, education, economic well-being, health, and power. The IRC works in 10 provinces throughout Afghanistan, among which some of the most security volatile, and employs over 1000 staff.

• Compliance with the IRC WAY (our standards for professional conduct) is a responsibility shared by all involved in delivering on the IRC’s mission. We must abide by the IRC Way and Safeguarding Policies all the time.
• The IRC has a zero-tolerance approach to the IRC Code of Conduct including safeguarding violations being committed by its staff, consultants, contractors, volunteers, interns, suppliers, vendors, sub-grantees/partners, implementing partners or any other associates.

• Enter all patient records into the PHC toolkit.
• Register new clients and update existing client demographics.
• Responsible for the overall data management and record keeping at the health facility.
• Collaborate closely with medical doctors, HIS officers, and other health providers.
• Support HIS officers in preparing different types of reports.
• Daily entry in the online system (Commcare) and submission to HIS officer.
• Correction and address of the given comment through the online system.
• Sharing of good action photos and consent forms with HIS Officer on a weekly base.
• Support the team in patient flow and reducing bottlenecks, support screening, and triage
• Respond to patient inquiries.
• Protects client confidentiality by ensuring health information is secured.
• Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Medical-related institutes.
• 1-2 years of relevant working experience
• Proficiency in the use of Smartphone tablets,
• Ability to enter daily data through a compare application.
• Demonstrated experience and high attention to detail.
• Excellent organization skills: the ability to work independently and productively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with healthcare administration
• Experience with data entry, data collection

For IRC- Afghanistan Internal Candidates:
