Job Summary
A CBS assistant provides daily operational support for the Online Banking System (OBDX) and Core Banking System (CBS). Ensure timely assistance to all branches and departments utilizing core and online banking systems. He will also handle the End of Day Cycle (EOC) processes. Coordinate with the Flexcube support team to address and resolve any issues.
The CBS Assistant’s role is versatile, and they may be required to undertake other official responsibilities related to department as directed by the line manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- End-User Support: Provide necessary support to end users across branches and various departments.
- Product Testing Assistance: Assist the CBS Manager and Deputy Manager in the testing of new products and perform system maintenance tasks.
- System Monitoring: Oversee the online banking and core banking systems, promptly reporting any issues detected.
- Administrative Coordination: Coordinate and maintain administrative records, including staff leave records related to core banking system access and rules update.
- Transaction Management: Execute branch transactions during system downtimes, utilizing the Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
- Contact Management: Keep internal staff contact lists up-to-date and manage PBX and telephone directories.
- User Management: Manage Online Banking (OBDX) user accounts and provide technical support to branches, agents, and end customers.
- Record Keeping: Maintain and update records of Internet Banking and Core Banking request forms and make sure it is digitally backed up.
- Office Management: Perform general office duties, including writing memos, creating user manuals, and developing presentations for introducing new financial products and services.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Technology.
- A minimum of one year experience in banking or related fields.
- Strong knowledge and skills in computer applications, core banking systems, online banking platforms, and database.
- Excellent verbal and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in English.
