About ORCDG:
ORCD Global Inc. is a U.S. based non-governmental, and not-for-profit founded in 2017. ORCDG was registered in the State of California, United States of America (USA) on 05 November 2017 (Registration No: C4076735). Later, it was registered as an international organization in Afghanistan in December 2018 (Registration number 460).
ORCDG has so far implemented 21 projects in various provinces of Afghanistan, and currently has around 6 ongoing projects in Kabul, Paktya, Parwan, Baghlan, Ghazni, Paktika and Kunduz provinces.
Job Description:
- Community mobilization and awareness raising about the project objectives
- Collect data and information about project beneficiaries for the purpose distribution of NFI, food items and tents.
- Selection of beneficiaries per the provided criteria through using the customized beneficiaries’ selection forms
- Build strong relationships and link with community members
- Organize and facilitate community meetings, focus group discussions, and awareness session to gather community input and promote participation
- Preparing assessment and distribution plan
- Selection of proper distribution plan to be easily accessible to the beneficiaries through communication and coordination with the relevant authorities and community representative
- Distribution of NFI, food items and tents by keeping in view different humanitarian standards
- Act as a liaison between the community and ORCDG technical team, conveying relevant information, concerns, and feedback.
- Prepare and submit timely assessment reports to the ORCDG project team
Job Requirements:
Education;
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant training or education in community development or related fields is preferred.
Qualification;
- With a strong commitment to community development and gender equality.
- Familiarity with the cultural, and social context of Afghanistan
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse community members, including women and girls.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings, and mobilized communities
- Proficiency in local languages (Dari and Pashto) is required; knowledge of English is an advantage
- Ability and willingness to travel within the target provinces for community engagement, beneficiaries assessment and selection, and project-related activities
