The IRC opened the country program in Afghanistan in 1988. Our programs span the range from humanitarian relief to early recovery and development activities, focusing on child protection, education, economic wellbeing, health, and power. The IRC works in 10 provinces throughout Afghanistan, among which some of the most security volatile, and employs over 1000 staff.

Keeping clean and paying attention to the sanitary conditions of the guesthouses of the International Rescue Committee

Cleaning rooms, carpets/carpets, and surfaces on a daily basis and placing items in designated areas according to established criteria and following established schedules.

Keeping the cupboards and cleanable items clean.

Request for cleaning supplies and tools if needed on time.

Keeping cleaning tools and equipment in good condition.

Cleaning bathrooms/toilets daily.

Ensuring that heaters work in winter.

Emptying garbage cans daily. Being ready to collect garbage according to the arranged schedule. Moving boxes of equipment and portables for storage or disposal as directed.

Sweeping hallways, outside steps at least once a day. Garbage removal and disposal.

Cleaning stoves, refrigerators, stoves, air conditioners, lighting devices if needed according to the arranged table.

Washing carpets if needed or requested.

Providing dry cleaning and cooking/kitchen services as entrusted to you.

Provide emergency assistance or clear areas as needed or requested.

Assisting in the preparation of rooms for holding meetings or other activities if needed or requested.

Identifying and reporting maintenance concerns, including but not limited to problems with plumbing, lighting fixtures, shutters, gates, and cleaning equipment.

At least grade 9 certificate, priority is given to grade 12 graduates.

1-2 years of work experience in the relevant department   

Ability to work in a team.

Very good communication skills

Excellent physical condition and endurance at work

For IRC- Afghanistan Internal Candidates:

(“ The IRC encourages employees to remain in a position for at least one year and be in good standing before applying for another position within the organization. if an employee is interested in a vacant position within the organization, he/she must inform his/her supervisor in advance before applying for a new position”)

(However, 1 year is a must to complete but to encourage IRCA employees somehow we are flexible who work in the current IRC position for at least 6 months or above and are given chance to compete for an opportunity in the organization)
