Job Description:
The CBNP master trainer will conduct CBNP TOT to the Community Health Supervisors (CHSs), and CBNP refresher to the Community Health Workers (CHWs), and Community Health Volunteers (CHV), being prime responsible and ensuring effective and efficient management of training, provision of support to the CHSs/CHWs, supportive supervision of CBNP health posts, conducting MNP, and C WIFS campaigns, reporting, and coordination of program activities as required.
- Support initiating the implementation capacity building phase of community- based- nutrition program (CBNP) in close coordination and collaboration with provincial nutrition officer and community-based health care (CBHC) officer.
- Conduct Training of Nutrition Mobilization Team (NMT) at the provincial level based on the CBNP manual.
- Involve respective communities and local authorities in community-based nutrition program and ensure their understanding of the program concept and their engagement in identifying community volunteers considering the criteria set.
- Facilitation of MNP, C-WIFS training to CHSs and CHWs.
- Conducting supportive supervision from all health posts of projects sites and provide technical support to the targeted staff, and support project coordinator in developing monthly activity plans and reports.
- Establish good coordination mechanism to HFs staff as well with community for proper implementation of nutrition related intervention.
- Support CHSs and CHWs/volunteers to CBNP refresher training and facilitate SMS session on HPs level and support CHSs/CHWs in conducting of this session.
- Supportive Supervision from the GM session during CBNP implementation.
- Responsible for advance preparation of trainings in conjunction with CBNP provincial manager and logistics officer ensuring proper training venue and having facilitator kits and other job aids papered for delivery to training sites.
- Organizing and conduction of training for nutrition mobilization teams (NMTs) at the district to enable them to conduct community mobilization sessions at the HPs level.
- Provide technical support and oversee to nutrition mobilization members during community mobilization sessions.
- Conduction CBNP refresher training to CHW/ volunteers to enable them provide community-based nutrition services (growth monitoring ,nutrition education & food demonstration etc.) for mothers having children < 2yrs…
- Undertake any other assignment given by the management and Provincial Project Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Having diploma in medical field (Nutrition or MD) or bachelor’s degree in public health or nutrition related field from an accredited College/University.
- Having CBNP Master Trainers ToT certificate.
- Having 2 years experience as CBNP Master Trainer or related projects implementation.
- Good computer skill especially office package (Ms. Word, Power point and Excel).
- Able to speak/write in Pashto, Dari and English with clarity and ease.
- Proficient computing skills including word processing, spreadsheet design and PPT presentation.
