Job Description:
SUMARRY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Field Assistance will play a critical role in supporting cash-for-work programs and construction of infrastructure activities under the ABADIE project. This position involves supervising laborers, coordinating with project staff, ensuring quality and timeliness of work, and maintaining a safe working environment. The Field Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations, monitoring progress, and addressing any challenges that may arise during project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervision of Cash-for-Work Programs
• Supervise the recruitment, mobilization, and daily activities of laborers participating in cash-for-work programs.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to laborers based on project needs and priorities.
• Ensure compliance with project guidelines, work standards, and safety protocols.
2. Construction Site Management
• Oversee construction activities, including site preparation, material delivery, and work execution.
• Monitor the progress of construction projects and ensure adherence to project schedules and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and laborers to address any issues and maintain productivity.
3. Quality Assurance
• Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to assess work quality and compliance with engineering standards.
• Identify any deficiencies or deviations from project plans and take corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure that materials and equipment used in construction meet project requirements and specifications.
4. Safety and Risk Management
• Implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and prevent accidents on construction sites.
• Provide guidance and training to laborers on safe work practices and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks to workers and the community.
5. Team Coordination and Communication
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and accomplishments to project leadership and relevant stakeholders.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among field staff and laborers.
6. Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including labor attendance, work performed, and materials used.
• Prepare regular reports on project progress, including quantitative and qualitative data on achievements and challenges.
• Ensure timely submission of reports and documentation to project management
