Job Summary
ISNO urgently seeks a skilled female trainer in carpet weaving. As a Carpet Weaving Trainer, you will be responsible for teaching traditional and modern carpet weaving techniques to our trainees. You will play a key role in preserving this cultural craft while empowering individuals to create high-quality products for local and international markets.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions in carpet weaving techniques, including traditional and modern methods.
- Develop and implement a structured curriculum that meets the needs of beginners and advanced learners.
- Provide hands-on demonstrations and practical workshops.
- Mentor and support trainees, providing feedback and guidance to improve their skills.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and evaluate trainee progress, adapting teaching methods as needed.
- Collaborate with the program coordinator to ensure training aligns with organizational goals.
- Assist in the promotion and marketing of finished products.
Job Requirements
- Extensive experience in carpet weaving, with a strong portfolio of work.
- Prior experience in teaching or training, preferably in a community or educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
- Knowledge of different weaving techniques and materials.
- Basic understanding of quality control and product finishing.
Preferred Qualification
- With training experiences and certification in textile arts or a related field.
- Familiarity with the local cultural context and traditional weaving practices.
- Experience in community development or women’s empowerment programs.
