Job Summary
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the designated office areas, including lavatories, meeting rooms, offices, passageways, and common spaces. This role involves performing daily cleaning tasks and conducting weekly and monthly deep cleaning according to established procedures. The Cleaner ensures that water dispensers are cleaned and replenished regularly and coordinates with the Ancillary Services Supervisor to request necessary cleaning supplies in a timely manner. Duties include dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning windows and doors, emptying trash cans, and reporting repairs. Additionally, the Cleaner will ensure the regular restocking of supplies such as toilet paper and paper towels and perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Effective communication with the line manager is essential to maintain adequate stock of cleaning materials and report any issues promptly.
Duties & Responsibilities
· The cleaners will ensure the cleanliness of the mention office (including lavatories, meeting rooms, offices, passageways, and common areas) and surrounding areas by performing daily cleaning and weekly and monthly deep cleaning as per detailed work instructions and procedures.
· The cleaners will replenish and clean water dispensers.
· The cleaners will request replenishment of required cleaning materials in good time from Ancillary Services Supervisor.
· Perform various cleaning actions such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc. Dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
· Emptying trash cans.
· Cleaning windows and doors.
· Liaising whit the line manager to ensure that you have sufficient cleaning products at all times.
· Informing the line manager of repairs that need to be done
· Refilling supplies, such as toilet paper and paper towels
· Any other tasks assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements
· Education: Baccalaureate degree is required.
· Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional working experience in a similar position in a national or international NGO.
· Languages: Proficiency in both national languages and English language is advantage
· Self-Motivated, Quick learner with a positive attitude.
· Cooperative and team-working skills
· Being flexible regarding working hours.
· Disciplined, honest, professional, and hard worker.
