Job Summary
The procurement assistant will be responsible for sourcing activities, negotiation, and strategic selection of goods and services that are usually of importance to our organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive PRs from different departments, (Requests should be approved by the requested department’s Head).
- To know and prevent the extra cost and reduce it.
- Distribute RFQs for vendors.
- Receive offers/ Quotations from vendors.
- Negotiate with vendors and check the market to know the real prices.
- Evaluate the Quotations/RFQs.
- Compare the quotes with the Kabul market (by sharing the PRs with the Kabul team) to reduce the prices.
- Process the documents for getting approvals from management.
- Sharie the vendors’ details with SR. Management to add vendors in the ACCPAC ERP system for creating the code.
- Receive the PO from Kabul PRC, (The procurement works should start according to that).
- Coordinate with the store for delivery and completion of GRN.
- Make the Treasury voucher/TV and have it signed by the concerned parties.
- Prepare the weekly report at its exact time.
- Record/Keep the Documents with a better filing system.
- Keep records of the purchased items, equipment, materials, and services.
Job Requirements
- Have a diploma or university degree in Business Administration or any other relevant field.
- Have 2 years of relevant experience.
- Must be fluent in one of the local languages and have good knowledge of the English language.
- Must have good knowledge of computer programs (Office packages)
- Have good negotiation skills.
