Job Summary
Develop routines to ensure all areas of the office are maintained to high standard of cleanliness; The Backup Staff for Searching Women at Provincial Branches is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the branch interior by performing various cleaning and security duties. The staff will be responsible for physically searching female visitors before entry to the branch, keeping an eye on guards, and reporting suspicious activity to the branch manager/line manager. The staff will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the premises, including emptying and washing out bins in all rooms, tidying and dusting offices, cleaning desks and office equipment, washing dishes in kitchens, damp dusting where appropriate, vacuuming carpets, cleaning staff toilets and hand basins, washing floors in customer area, kitchen, and bathroom, and wiping around surfaces in the kitchen. The staff will also keep a check on cleaning materials and re-order via the supervisor and undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time.
Duties & Responsibilities
– Empty and wash out bins in all rooms.
– Tidy and dust offices.
– Clean desks and office equipment existing on the premises.
– Wash dishes in kitchens and help cook/s as needed.
– Damp dust where appropriate.
– Keep a check on cleaning materials and re-order via the supervisor.
– Undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time.
– Vacuum carpets.
– Clean staff toilets and hand basins.
– Wash floors in customer area, kitchen, and bathroom.
– Wipe around surface in kitchen.
– Physically search female visitors before entry to the branch.
– Report suspicious activity to the branch manager/line manager.
– Keep an eye on guards.
– Ensure the safety of the branch interior.
– Conduct security sweep every morning.
– Ensure the door locks are operational.

Physical Requirements:
– Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
