The head office of the organization is in Kabul, Afghanistan, and delivers humanitarian services in the sectors of Livelihood, Good Governance, WASH, and Emergency through its four regional offices in Mazar, Herat, Jalalabad, and the central zone in a decentralized manner.
Job Description:
- Conduct interviews of unaccompanied minors brought to compound from Islam Qala Border.
- Coordinate with SW Supervisor and assist in family tracing, re-integration and post integration monitoring.
- To ensure that the transition of the children from transit camp to handing over to their respective families runs smoothly with proper documentation and high buy-in of receiving families.
- Identify unaccompanied minors who were re-integrated into their families.
- To coordinate closely with the RRAA Monitoring and Evaluation Department on M&E requirements of the project.
- Conduct intake interviews, prepare case profiles of deported unaccompanied minors, conduct family tracing where needed and develop re-integration plan and post integration monitoring and ensure that management of cases are in accordance to the Minimum standards for child protection in Humanitarian action.
- Conducting debriefing and counseling session with minor and their families.
- To coordinate closely with the RRAA Monitoring and Evaluation Department on M&E requirement of the project.
- Maintains and adherence to all RRAA policies and procedures, including child protection policy.
- Attends all supervisory meetings, team planning meetings and curriculum meetings scheduled by PM.
- Given guidance on developing of case management system.
- Keeping closed coordination and communication between RRAA, DoRR, and IOM in the camp.
- Keeping updated the supervisor and Project Manager on the progress of project activities.
- Proper and submit weekly, monthly and quarterly Reports to the Supervisor/line manager.
- Any other tasks required by Supervisor/line Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of social science/ any other related field.
- Minimum 2 years working experience in child protection with I/NGOs
- Experience with working inside Child Friendly Space
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including active listening skills
- Ability to allocate and review priorities to meet the deadlines
- Ability to identify the problems and resolution.
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Reliable, trustworthy and committed to team’s success
- Having positive and encouraging personality
