About ANAFAE:

The Afghan National Association For Adult Education (ANAFAE), founded in September 2005, with the support of DVV International works to foster the development of local Adult and Community Learning Centers, promotes education strategies and programs for disadvantaged groups, young adults, with a particular focus on literacy, basic education, education for employability and lifelong learning.

In the literacy programs of ANAFAE and its partner DVV International, youth participants learn reading, writing, and numeracy, reflect on their role in the family and community, deal with health and hygiene topics, and develop ideas for their economic activities. These literacy programs have a direct and positive effect on the personal development, family health, and school attendance of children.

Job Description:

Overall responsibilities:

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will serve as the focal person for the monitoring and evaluation-related activities of the project.

The M&E officer will work closely with the project team and the ANAFAE senior M&E officer. The M&E officer’s responsibility is to coordinate and support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation of project activities to be conducted per the organization’s relevant policies, strategies, and the project result framework.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee ANAFAE’s monitoring and evaluation policy/guidelines that contribute to improving program quality and ensuring program accountability and transparency
  • Develop the project-level monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plans and associated work plans for each activity.
  • Develop/customize the M&E tools for the project
  • Responsible for integrating/consolidating the M&E-related data of the project
  • Support the consultant in conducting the assessment to identify and select the vocations/trades and beneficiaries
  • Monitor project progress through field visits to the project sites
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly M&E reports of the project
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Project officer and other relevant departments

Job Requirements:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Business administration, Political Science, and any other related fields (Priority will be given to Master’s degree holder)
  • At least three years of experience in monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis, and production of reports
  • Good Coordination and Communication Skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required, Dari and Pashto languages are also a must.
