About OXUS Afghanistan
OXUS Afghanistan started Operation in 2005 under support of ACTED, a development and relief NGO, which is operating in twenty five Countries of the world, and Microfinance Investment Support Facility for Afghanistan (MISFA). Currently, OXUS Afghanistan has a portfolio of over AFN 816 million with an outreach of about 22,000 customers managed through 19 Branches, 10 provinces. OXUS Afghanistan is a part of OXUS Group, a global network of Microfinance Institutions created by ACTED, a leading international NGO operating in 25 countries. OXUS Afghanistan was created with funding from the Microfinance Investment Support Facility for Afghanistan (MISFA), a Government Apex agency set up by international donors in 2003 in order to develop and support the microfinance sector in Afghanistan. OXUS Afghanistan Provides Islamic financing. OXUS -Afghanistan has individual and group lending which helps Afghan people have access to finance. OXUS-Afghanistan provides financing for youth and women as women improvement process and support them for better access to finance.
Job Summary
The role of the teller is to handle the exchange of money between OXUS Afghanistan and its clients, supplies, Banks, and staff efficiently and professionally.
Duties & Responsibilities
1) Handles daily cash transactions with clients:

a) Manages the cash drawer under the supervision of the Branch Manager daily.
b) Makes all Financings to and receives all reimbursements from clients daily in a highly professional and courteous manner.
c) Submits accurate cash reconciliations daily to the Branch Manager and HQ Finance Department.
d) Participates in the daily, weekly, and monthly physical cash counts.
2) Submits reports regularly:
a) Maintains accurate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, cash reports, as required.
b) Participates in daily cash reconciliations and cash requests with the Branch Manager.
3) Participates in the institutional development of OXUS Afghanistan.
a) Assists the Branch Manager for the preparation of internal and external audits.
4) Dealing with the Bank regarding cash arrangements to the Branch.
5) Maintains Proper documents and records for all cash transactions i.e., repayments,
6) Financing, expenses, deposits, etc.
7) Any other duties as required by the Branch Manager in the implementation of OXUS operations.
8) Work as a financial administrator in his absence.
9) Any task assigned by the line Manager
10) The financing administrator will be responsible for checking the sequence of the documents and uploading them into the system (ABACUS Web) accordingly
11) The financing administrator will be responsible for uploading the invoice/bill into the system after financing the client.
12) The financing administrator will be responsible for the correctness of the documents, recording them into the database and keeping them in a file room,
13) The financing administrator will be responsible for adding all the new Financing applications to the system.
Job Requirements
a) Afghan citizen;
b) Minimum High School diploma (any country);
c) Experience handling cash (business or household), experience with a Microfinance Institution preferable;
d) Fluent in Dari and English welcome but not essential
e) Computer skills in Word and/or Excel;
f) Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
g) Able to work independently and in a group,
h) willing to take initiative, and energetic;
I) Able to learn quickly
