Overview of position | The WFP, Country Office Afghanistan based in Kabul is looking to collaborate with service providers who can provide services in support of the operation and maintenance of the WFPowned fleet trucks and workshops for effective implementation of WFP ongoing and future projects within the country. In this sense, Country Office Afghanistan is looking for qualified service providers capable of providing manpower services (drivers, mechanics and other categories of manpower as specified in this RFP) for operating the WFP-owned Fleet trucks as well as WFP vehicle workshops as per the terms of reference detailed in this document. Service providers must have the capacity to deploy staff of the various group functions to any location in Afghanistan where WFP has representation and operational needs across Afghanistan. WFP Afghanistan owns and operates a fleet of over 200 heavy cargo trucks plus machinery, water tankers, mobile workshops, and light vehicles. In addition to what was mentioned above, WFP Afghanistan in all area offices provides maintenance for its own as well as its partners’ trucks, light vehicles, machinery, and water tankers. | |
Role objectives | • Provide unarmed guard services to WFP staff, assets, and premises. • Conduct regular security patrols of WFP premises and report any security incidents or breaches to the Security Officer. • Monitor access to WFP premises and ensure that only authorized personnel and vehicles are allowed entry. • Conduct security checks of staff, visitors, and vehicles entering and leaving WFP premises. • Provide assistance to staff during emergencies or security incidents. • Maintain accurate records of all security-related activities, including incident reports and patrol logs. • Ensure compliance with WFP’s security policies and procedures. • Attend security training and briefings as required.
