Core Functions / Responsibilities:

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Analyze demands, prepare regular forecasts, calculate replenishment orders and initiate timely procurement request accordingly.
2. Take timely measures to avoid stock-out and expiry of medicines and supplies.
3. Take precautionary measures to prevent obtaining expired medications and manage medicine that are close to expiration in a professional manner according to the guidelines/SOPs.
4. Ensure medicine receiving and dispatching according to guidelines/SOPs.
5. Keep all the warehouse records/documents and inventory accurate and up to date and conducting a monthly inventory of the warehouse.
6. Ensure timely reporting on stock status.
7. Make sure that the warehouse medical commodities and cold chain items are stored under a proper storage condition.
8. Monitor and improve Rational Use of Medicine at the Health Facilities across IOM/MHU supported provinces.
9. Assist in ensuring Quality Assurance in medicinal and supply management.
10. Participating in field missions out of duty station when/where required
11. Perform such other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

High school degree with at least 3 years of experience

Or

University degree in Pharmacy with 1 year experience

Experience

Experience in the medical warehouse management.

Experience in the Microsoft package (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Experience in the inventory management

Experience in the forecasting and quantification

Experience with an NGO or UN will be an asset.

SKILLS

Computer skills in using Microsoft office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Communication skills with the patients

Languages

Fluency in English and Dari and/or Pashto
